International Conference on Red Sea-Dead Sea Canal

Amman, Dec. 8 (Petra) – An international conference will be held at the Dead Sea Shores on Sunday on financing a $15 million study to drag the Red Sea water into the Dead Sea.

Jordan, Palestinian National Authority, Israel, World Bank and some European countries will take part in the conference.

Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Thafer Al Alem on Thursday said that France, US, Japan and Switzerland contributed in the finance of the study with $9 million, adding that the rest of money would be given by Spain, Canada and some European countries.
