Three Companies Qualify for the
Implementation of Disi Project
Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Thafer Al Alem
announced that three companies had technically qualified
to implement the Disi Water Conveyance Project. In a
press conference at the ministry, he said one of these
companies was an Italian-Spanish company and the other
two were a Kuwaiti and a Turkish.
The minister said a financial committee will study
offers of these companies regarding the price of water
after conveying it to Amman, and will then ask the
winner of the floated tender to implement the project.
“Prices that have been offered by these companies are
acceptable for the ministry,” he added, noting the
winner of the tender will be announced in mid March
