Amman, Jan.16(Petra)—Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Al Alem held talks on Tuesday with his Saudi counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Husein on joint water basins and mehnicisms of protecting and preserving its sustainability.
Alem commended the historical relations with Saudi Arabia, calling for further cooperation and coordination for the interest of the people of both countries.
The Minister also asserted the discussion of joint water basins and their challenges serve the joint views to preserve their sustainability.
Al Husein affirmed on the importance of the visit, which gives him a chance to meet with Jordanian officials for talks on joint water basins and other issues related to water and ways of preserving the sustainability of these basines.
The two sides agreed to form a technical committee for this purpose expecting to meet next week.
